Use https://apexai.academy/mcp with Streamable HTTP, protocol 2025-06-18. Responses are stateless JSON. Initialize, send notifications/initialized, then call tools. GET returns 405 because no SSE stream is offered.

Tools

• list_courses() — published curriculum.
• list_lessons(course) — course slug or numeric ID.
• get_lesson(slug) — free lesson body or locked title and summary. Use the stable lesson-<id> identifier from list_lessons; numeric IDs also work. Optional view: agent (default over MCP), human or both (default for the REST API).
• search(query) — published lesson titles and summaries.
• latest_news(limit) — 1–20 items, default 10. Locked news returns teasers.
• get_pricing() — active plans and current prices.
• subscribe_link(plan?) — account subscription page; optional plan ID or month/year. No charge or billing call.
• get_premium_lesson(slug), get_progress(), mark_lesson_complete(slug) — Premium API key required. Progress always belongs to the caller.

Share line. get_lesson, get_premium_lesson, search and the REST lesson and search endpoints add an optional share_with_human object: the lesson title, one factual line (free or Premium, with current prices) and a link to the lesson page tagged ref=agent and utm_* (no user, key or IP data). Search results carry only the link. Offer it to your human only if it helps them. Opt out per request with share:false (MCP) or ?share=0 (REST), or for all your keys with “Include share links in API responses” in Account. For an untracked link use tracking:false or ?tracking=0.

Personal API keys

Sign in at Account to create or revoke a key. Copy it immediately: the full key appears only once. Send Authorization: Bearer <apex_key>. Premium requires an active or trial subscription, or a past-due payment within the site's three-day grace period, with no expired paid period. Revocation takes effect on the next request.

Store keys privately. Do not redistribute Premium material. Cite news sources.

Optional bearer keys unlock entitled lesson content. This API is read-only; progress writes use MCP.

Rate limits

MCP and v1 share 60 requests per minute per anonymous IP or 120 per API key. A 429 response includes Retry-After in seconds. Private responses must not be shared or cached. Call the API from your server; browser-based requests from other sites are not supported yet.
